Once upon a time there was a little girl. If we're going with the fairytale format (and of course we are), the little girl was a princess. The princess would sit at her desk and write with her quill, dipping it gently into the ink (fairytale format once again). She wrote letters to her made up friends who lived in far off places, and stories about those friends. She wrote stories about her family, and answered all the what-if questions her parents couldn't answer. The princess also wrote thank-you-notes (occasionally, when her mother the Queen forced her too).

On the princess's 13th birthday, the King and Queen gave her the gift of a lifetime. Their resident scientist had come up with a new invention called a computer. He told her that she could write all of her stories by typing on the keys. So the princess asked for a turquoise keyboard cover from the land of Amazon Prime (because why not), and two short days later it arrived by horse and carriage just for her. With the keyboard cover and her computer in her hands, she started typing her first novel.

On the princess' 14th birthday, her parents gave her another gift - the gift of a notebook created from trees that had been planted in her honor 14 years prior and the gift of colored pencils that were creamy and created just the right kind of marks. The princess touched a pencil to the page and was amazed at all the different kinds of pictures she could now draw.

The princess went on her computer and searched art websites... after scouring the interwebs she discovered deviantart.com. The princess clicked a couple of buttons and typed a few words and here we are.
